**PROGRAM EXPANSION**
Full time positions (40 hrs/wk) for case managers who focus their skills and treatment assisting adults suffering from severe and persistent mental illness recognize and accept treatment for substance abuse conditions. Care and treatment is provided within a multidisciplinary treatment team. In addition to traditional case management duties, the SA Case Manager would:
Assist clients to recognize triggers, develop relapse prevention skills, and build support systems.
Educate clients about the physical, medical, and pharmacological issues relating to substance use.
Understand and utilize ASAM criteria as part of the treatment process when determining an appropriate level of care for client’s treatment.
Conduct urine tox screens and breathalyzer tests on his/her clients and conducts supervised urine tox screens on court ordered clients as directed.
Requirements:
Must have own transportation and a valid driver's license/insurance. Bilingual candidates (Portuguese, American Sign Language, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
Education:
Bachelors degree in a Human Services field required and one year of previous experience preferred. LCDP preferred or must be willing to pursue continuing education/certification in substance abuse field. Internal and external training/supervision resources available.
