CASE MANAGERS (including Substance Abuse and Vocational)

 **PROGRAM EXPANSION** East Bay Center a division of East Bay Community has full time positions (40 hrs/wk) for Case managers who focus their skills and treatment assisting adults living with severe and persistent mental illness for our Barrington, RI.  Care and treatment is provided within a multidisciplinary treatment team.  While most case managers will focus on coordination of care and treatment on a broad spectrum, several case managers will focus on specific areas of recovery: Substance Abuse Specialist:  In addition to traditional case management duties, the SA Case Manager would:       Assist clients to recognize triggers, develop relapse prevention skills, and build support systems. Educate clients about the physical, medical, and pharmacological issues relating to substance use. Understand and utilize ASAM criteria as part of the treatment process when determining an appropriate level of care for client’s treatment. Conduct urine tox screens and breathalyzer tests on his/her clients and conducts supervised urine tox screens on court ordered clients as directed.   Vocational Specialist:  In addition to traditional case management duties, the Voc Case Manager would:     assist individuals with job searching (obtaining and completing applications, follow-up with potential employers, etc.), create new job opportunities (job development) within the community, maint contact with community employers  collaborate with other members of the Community Support Teams to work toward identifying treatment goals that will assist in the employment process Requirements:  Must have own transportation and a valid driver's license/insurance. Bilingual candidates (Portuguese, American Sign Language, etc.) are encouraged to apply.   Education:  For All Case Managers:  Bachelors degree in a Human Services field required and one year of previous experience preferred.  For SA Case Managers:  LCDP preferred or must be willing to pursue continuing education/certification in substance abuse field.  Internal and external training/supervision resources available. For Voc Case Managers:  CSEP (Certified Supported Employment Specialist) , but willing to train.
